Five Chorale Preludes for the Church Year

The Five Chorale Preludes for the Church Year include settings of the following hymn tunes:  Vom Himmel Hoch (Christmas), Morning Star (Epiphany), Llangloffan (Lent or Advent), Noël Nouvelet (Easter), and Sheng en (Holy Communion).  The tunes are widely in use in present day hymnals, however these tunes with any apparent melodic variants are drawn from either The Lutheran Book of Worship or the Hymnal 1982.
